The new curriculum standard specifies "who to train, how to train and for whom to train"

The 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the National Education Conference require that we fully implement the Party's education policy, implement the fundamental task of building morality and cultivating people, develop quality education, promote education fairness, and train socialist builders and successors who develop morally, intellectually, physically, and aesthetically.

In 2011, China achieved the comprehensive popularization of compulsory education, and the educational demand changed from "having to learn" to "having to learn". It is necessary to further clarify "who to train, how to train and for whom to train", and optimize the blueprint of school education. To cope with the impact of the COVID-19, it is necessary to strengthen the support and guidance of courses on online learning and other aspects. All these require that we must deepen the curriculum reform and strengthen the curriculum construction of compulsory education.

Hu Zhongfeng said, "Practice has proved that the exam-oriented education system in the past can no longer meet the requirements of our times. After the new curriculum plan and curriculum standards come out, our teaching concepts, teaching methods and teaching space will all be changed accordingly."

Huang Chunqing said that the new curriculum standard at the compulsory education stage has separated labor education and information technology education from comprehensive practical activities and upgraded them to national independent curriculum. Coincidentally, in the view of Hao Linlin, the new curriculum standard attaches special importance to sports and health, and specially advances labor education to an independent national curriculum discipline. "We should improve the educational value of labor in labor education, and our comprehensive practical activities also advance the opening of labor education to the first and second grades, which is fully covered by the high school stage. Next, we will organize the revision and compilation of teaching materials, and also organize supporting teaching resources." She said.

Hong Xuan analyzed that the new curriculum standard, based on the forefront of the world's education reform, depicts the education blueprint of schools in China's compulsory education stage for the next ten years or more. It first emphasizes the quality orientation, and focuses on cultivating the core quality required for students' lifelong development and social development, especially the ability to solve problems in real situations. Establish curriculum objectives based on core literacy, select curriculum contents, develop academic quality standards, and promote the reform of examination evaluation. Secondly, optimize the organizational form of curriculum content, jump out of the pattern of subject knowledge listing, organize and present the curriculum content according to students' learning logic, and strengthen the connection with students' experience, real life and social practice. Integrate the course content through themes, projects, tasks and other forms, highlight the backbone and eliminate redundancy. At the same time, we should highlight practical education, strengthen the combination of curriculum with productive labor and social practice, and emphasize the unity of knowledge and practice. We advocate learning by doing, learning by using and creating, pay attention to guiding students to participate in disciplinary inquiry activities, carry out interdisciplinary practice, experience the process of finding problems, solving problems, building knowledge, and applying knowledge, so that knowledge can be improved based on practice and through practice, and overcome the "two skins" phenomenon of knowledge and practice.

She suggested that vocational colleges could carry out various forms of immersive labor education theme practice activities, coordinate labor education and aesthetic education, and create an "labor aesthetic education" immersive curriculum ideological and political practice activity platform of "labor+art+value".

Huang Chunqing believes that the Taosence Earth Art Park, as the educational base for comprehensive practical activities in primary and secondary schools across the province, plays a very important fundamental and resource role in the implementation of the new curriculum standards in Guangzhou and even Guangdong. In the next step, we hope that Taosence can guide primary and secondary students to carry out interdisciplinary research and learning by building labor education, research travel and other exploratory schools, do more course design, enrich more course resources, and let students really have their own construction, which can promote students' innovative spirit, innovative ability and practical ability.
